There are many things to do in Brisbane including a dip at streets beach or capture rise and shine at Mt Coot-tha. Below is my list of favorites that I added to my things to do in Brisbane bucket list.
Dip at the Streets Beach
My first thing to do in Brisbane to take a dip at the Streets beach. A perfect location close to city south bank and a man-made lagoon attracts hundreds every day. Perfect place to chill out for a few hours and cool off. It’s pretty Instagram worthy too.
Riding the Red Vessel
My second item on the things to do in Brisbane bucket is taking the river ferry to eat street. It’s great and such a wonderful experience, moreover great way to see the city. You get the chance of see the Brisbane city architecture while get a cool breeze. What an experience!
Picnic by the river
If you wander along the Southbank side of the river you will find yourself in a lush green grassy area surrounded by restaurants.
There are many supermarkets in close vicinity if you want to get a picnic to arrange for yourself and enjoy it while the sun disappearance below the horizon. Then pop into an alcohol shop and get your tipple of choice to fully enjoy the experience. You can sit for hours just chilling and watching the world go by, watch out for the shitty mosquitoes though
If you’re feeling fly the restraints surrounding offer their own picnic baskets which you can buy, but unfortunately for some travelers this is out of their budget.
Lone Pine Sanctuary
Who can resist to take a selfie with a koala and add to Instagram? Loan Pine sanctuary is the residence for over 100 koalas and one of its first kind and must see Brisbane attraction. You won’t miss mobs here and see a number of free roaming Kangaroos and wallabies.
Visit Brisbane local farmers’ markets
If you are travelling on a budget and need to stock up for the weekly supply, Davies Park Market is the ideal option and another attraction who travels to Brisbane.
New Farm Park
New Farm Park is one of the best places to go in Brisbane. One of the city’s most popular parks and ideal for lie on the grass to relax after driving miles on a road trip. Why not relax and read something interesting? A picnic at the New Farm park while embracing the riverside breeze is one of my things to do in Brisbane.
Hike to Stradbroke island
Whoever visiting Brisbane, highly recommend taking the Stradbroke Island hike. The most picturesque perfect place. Take a bus to point lookout and admire the stunning views and endure the long and beautiful hike. Make sure you take lots of snacks, water, and suntan lotion because it’s intense and there are lots of steps.
